CV 19 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "CV 19" , 紫宮, is represented by "Zi Gong" in pinyin and "Purple Palace" in english and may be found:

Level with the 2nd ICS.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

Local point for chest issues - pain, cough, asthma.
Counterflow qi - vomiting, difficulty ingesting.

While not necessarily valid clinically, KD 25 (Local Point, generally useful for cough, chest te…), SP 20 (Aids the descent of lung qi - cough, shortness of…) and ST 15 (Asthma, chest oppression, fullness a/or pain in t…) are nearby.
