CV 2 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "CV 2" , 曲骨, is represented by "Qugu" in pinyin and "Curved Bone" in english and may be found:

On top of the notch in the center of superior border of the pubic symphysis.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Generally useful for Deficiency and Cold-Type Genito-urinary issues - retention of urine, dribbling urine, frequent urination.
  • Main point for feminine discharges, "red and white" discharges (leukorrhea) along with other sexual/menstrual issues - dysmenorrhea, irregular cycles.
  • Male sexual issues such as impotence a/or seminal emission as well as any problems with the genitals (dryness, itching, dampness, pain).

CV 2 has some precautions to be considered (see our precautions list).

Cv 2 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Intersection Point of the CV & LV Meridians
