CV 21 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "CV 21" , 璇璣, is represented by "Xuan Ji" in pinyin and "Jade Pivot" in english and may be found:

Between CV 20 and CV 22.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local point for chest issues - pain, cough, asthma, wheezing.
  • Resolve food stagnation in the stomach (often with ST 36), difficulty ingesting.

While not necessarily valid clinically, KD 27 (Opens & relaxes the chest - asthma, constrict…) and ST 13 (Asthma, cough, wheezing, chest distention, hiccup…) are nearby.
