HT 2 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "HT 2" , 青靈, is represented by "Qing Ling" in pinyin and "Cyan Spirit" in english and may be found:

With the elbow flexed, 3 cun above HT 3 on the ulnar side of the biceps brachii in the medial groove.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local point - in many classics needling this point is contraindicated.  Moxabustion, however, is applicable.
  • Pain in the shoulder or arm.
  • Pain in the lateral chest and/or hypochondriac regions.

HT 2 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Arm Pain, Chest Pain and/or Shoulder Pain

While not necessarily valid clinically, LI 14 (Local point for pain in the shoulder and upper ar…) and LU 4 (Local Point. May be used for cough, shortness of…) are nearby.
