EX Luozhen Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "EX Luozhen" is represented by "Luozhen" in pinyin and "Falling Down from Pillow" in english and may be found:

On the dorsum of the hand between the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones, about .5 cun posterior to the metacapalphalangeal joint.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Acute issues of the neck - strain, sprain, whiplash (needle on effected side)

While not necessarily valid clinically, LI 2 (Shown to increase saliva production and to effect…) and LI 3 (Expel wind and heat particularly from the throat,…) are nearby.
