Five Phase - Spleen Deficiency Cold Pattern

  • Root Treatment Points:
  • Technique: #0 or #1 needle, approx. 1mm insertion, retain approx. 10-15 minutes
  • Yuan Source Points - PC 7 & SP 3 or
  • Luo Connecting Points - PC 6 & SP 4
  • Common Symptoms:
  • Excess saliva in mouth
  • Pimples or small boils around the mouth
  • Edema of the legs a/or face
  • No desire to speak, weak voice
  • Cold limbs a/or body
  • Poor appetite
  • Tends toward loose stools
  • Related Patterns & Treatment (in lieu of controlling cycle):
  • LV Cold - tonify GB 40, TH 4 & TH 6
  • HT Cold - tonify SI 4
  • LU Cold - tonify SP 5
  • KD Cold - tonify TH 4 & KD 3
