Five Phase - Spleen Deficiency Heat Pattern

  • Treatment Points:
  • Technique: #0 or #1 needle, approx. 1mm insertion, retain approx. 10 minutes
  • Yuan Source Points - PC 7 & SP 3
  • Common Symptoms:
  • Edema in the joints
  • Yellowing around the mouth
  • Dry, coated tongue
  • Manic-depression
  • Bad breath
  • Diarrhea w/abdominal pain
  • Weakness of the extremities
  • Related Patterns & Treatment (in lieu of controlling cycle):
  • LV Heat - disperse GB 36, GB 38, TH 3, TH 5, LV 3, LV 5
  • HT Heat - disperse SI 6, SI 7
  • LU Heat - tonify PC 5, SP 5 & LU 10, disperse LU 5 or LU 6
  • KD Heat - tonify SP 9, disperse UB 40, UB 63 & UB 65
